Ginger Carrabine, Superintendent of Schools

Ginger Carrabine is a dedicated educational leader committed to preparing students for success in college, careers, and public service. She brings nine years of service in Bryan ISD, including four years as Superintendent. Throughout her tenure, she has remained focused on serving the district’s 16,000 students and 3,000 employees through strategic leadership and a strong commitment to excellence.

Ms. Carrabine has successfully led the passage of multiple bond elections, including the largest in Bryan ISD history, a $397 million bond approved by voters in 2025. This comprehensive investment supports districtwide facility improvements and long-term infrastructure priorities across all campuses. In addition, she played a key leadership role in two earlier bond elections totaling $187 million, which funded major capital projects such as the construction of Sadberry Intermediate School, significant expansions at Rudder High School, and enhancements to multiple district instructional and support facilities.

Ms. Carrabine is actively engaged in the community, serving on the United Way of the Brazos Valley Board, the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation advisory board, and as a member of the Bryan Rotary Club. She also serves as an ex-officio for the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce and the Bryan ISD Education Foundation. Her leadership has earned distinction, including being named Woman of the Year by the Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley and recognized as a Transformational Leader by the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University.

At the state level, she serves on the University Interscholastic League Legislative Council, the Region 6 Executive Committee, and the Legislative Committee of the Texas Association of School Administrators. She is also a graduate of the Superintendent Leadership Program at The Holdsworth Center.

Ms. Carrabine and her husband, Mike, are proud residents of the Bryan community and parents of three adult children, all of whom credit their professional success to a strong foundation in public education.
